When we started developing Sort Dock, the goal wasn’t simply to build another storage cabinet.
We wanted to create a storage system that could be configured around the person using it.
Workshops, garages, hobby rooms, electronics benches, LEGO collections, craft spaces, and small-parts storage all have something in common: no two setups are exactly the same. What works for one person may waste space for another.
That idea became the foundation of the Sort Dock Modular Storage System.
Storage Built Around What You Actually Need
Instead of designing one cabinet with one fixed drawer arrangement, Sort Dock is being developed as a collection of components that work together.
Choose the cabinet size. Choose the drawers. Choose the drawer fronts and handles. Choose the bins. Then configure the system around the parts, tools, materials, or collections you actually need to organize.
And unlike many modular storage products, our goal is for Sort Dock cabinets and drawers to arrive fully assembled.
No box full of panels. No afternoon spent assembling furniture before you can organize anything.
Just configure it, fill it, and use it.
Designed Around Gridfinity-Compatible Organization
Gridfinity has become an incredibly useful standard for organizing small parts, tools, electronics, hobby supplies, and countless other items.
Rather than creating another closed ecosystem, we designed Sort Dock around Gridfinity-compatible organization.
Our current lineup of Gridfinity-compatible bins is available now, with multiple footprints, heights, styles, and colors designed to let you organize everything from tiny fasteners and electronic components to larger parts and supplies.
Those bins are only the beginning.
The upcoming Sort Dock cabinet-and-drawer system is being designed to give those bins a permanent, organized home while still allowing you to rearrange your storage as your needs change.
One System. A Lot of Possibilities.
The Sort Dock concept is intentionally modular.
Different cabinet sizes will allow you to choose the amount of storage you need. Different drawer heights will let you dedicate more or less space to different types of parts. Interchangeable bins allow the contents of those drawers to change without replacing the drawer itself.
The goal is simple:
Choose the cabinet. Choose the drawers. Choose the look. Choose the layout.
As your collection, workshop, hobby, or business changes, your storage system should be able to change with it.
Moving From Design Toward Production
A great deal of the work so far has happened behind the scenes.
Cabinet dimensions, drawer layouts, mounting systems, materials, manufacturing methods, bin configurations, product variations, and even how the finished system will be packaged and delivered have all been part of the development process.
We are now moving beyond the concept stage and preparing for our first production run of the Sort Dock Modular Storage System.
That first run will give us the opportunity to validate the manufacturing process, refine the final details, and put complete production units through real-world use before a larger release.
We would rather take the time to get those details right than rush a product out the door.
What You Can Buy Today
While the complete Sort Dock Modular Storage System is still coming, our Gridfinity-compatible bins are available now.
They are offered in a growing selection of footprints, heights, styles, and colors, including Standard, Label, Finger Scoop, and Label + Finger Scoop configurations.
Those same bins are being designed as an integral part of the larger Sort Dock ecosystem, so you can start organizing today and continue building your system as new Sort Dock products become available.
This Is Just the Beginning
What you see today is the beginning of a much larger modular storage platform.
We’ll continue sharing updates as the first cabinets and drawers move through production, along with photos, prototypes, testing, new accessories, and additional configurations.
If you’ve been looking for storage that adapts to the way you work instead of forcing you into someone else’s layout, we think you’re going to like where Sort Dock is headed.
Organize It Your Way.
